Remote Release Hook

Quick Release Hook (QRH) units are available with double or triple hooks in capacities from 60Ton to 150Ton. The option with capstan provides an integral electric capstan motor housed within a protective structure (typically the QRH base). The capstan motor is factory run-in and mated with a gearbox, which is oil-filled for life. A Direct on Line (DOL) motor starter allows control of operation through a footswitch, Emergency Stop Switch (E-Stop) and direction selector switch.

Mooring Load Monitoring System will give any terminal – existing or new – optimum safety when ships are moored. The system ensures homogeneous tension on mooring lines and alerts the operator if tension on one or more lines moves towards the critical limit.

Remote Quick Release remote control system for QRH is primarily designed to operate the hooks in case of an evacuation of the terminal. As the hook release function also can be made individually it can also be used each time a ship has to depart the jetty thus saving mooring personnel. The system is also monitoring the hook station status and sends alarms in case of a hook station failure.
